About Club Sport

Club Sport was established over 10 years ago with the aim of inspiring and engaging children in Sport.

Our director James started the company himself in 2009 with a passion for providing outstanding, energetic and fun sports sessions for children.

Since that time we have managed to maintain that core aim and now deliver activities to around 5,000 children per week through our sessions in schools.

We also now deliver Oftsed registered holiday camps across South Buckinghamshire with our team of fantastic coaches ensuring the children try new sports and activities while having endless fun throughout the day.

Our aim is to provide a ‘one-stop shop’ for local parents to engage their children in sports and physical activity. Our passion for health and fitness has lead us to work with numerous partners across the country and now, as well as our in school PE & Sports sessions we also deliver Active Maths classes, training courses for teachers and even teaching children how to ride a bike!

A Letter from our founder

When I first started Club Sport it was due to a passion for getting children active and engaged in a sport they love.

I honestly believe that there is a sport or physical activity out there for everyone! Children just need time and patience to figure out which one is for them.

Most importantly though is that they first enjoy being active and have great fun being involved with sports to ensure that they develop a lifelong love for keeping fit and healthy.

Yes it’s important that our staff have the right training, development, certification and licenses required to be a sports coach but the magic ingredient is Enthusiasm and Energy which is what i always tried to instil into my sessions when i first started the company.

If the coach is having a great time then so will the children which leads to happy parents and schools!

This simply methodology is at the centre of everything we do and is my main aim when I start each day.

Hi – My name is Davie and I‘ve been with Club Sport since 2014. Within that time I’ve had various roles but now oversee day to day operations as well as heading up our Balanceability programme which I love!

Our Staff

Having delivered high quality sports coaching to schools and parents for our 10 years we pride ourselves on finding, recruiting and training individuals that are energetic, engaging, professional and fun to teach your children.

As well as this they have all the certification and training that you would expect such as:

DBS Checked
Paediatric First
Safeguarding Children Training
Level 1 or 2 NGB Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 in supporting PE & School Sport

We maintain a small, closely knit team of around 80% full time staff and 20% part time staff to support our delivery as well as our Operations Manager, Davie, and Company Founder, James, who support our customers and staff from our office in High Wycombe.

Over the years we have recruited and worked with some outstanding individuals. As is the quality of our recruitment and training system over the years many of our staff have been recruited by local schools as their on site PE Teacher. Although we are always sad to see them go we believe that career progression, development and a continual willingness to learn is one of the most important qualities of a good sports coach. We always take it as a compliment that so many of our staff have gone on to be recruited by local schools that we also service.

We love working alongside partners that have similar beliefs and values to ensure our organisation, staff and customers benefit from market leading programmes and our staff are trained to the highest standard.

We work with the following organisations:

Aspire Sports – We have been working with Aspire since 2016 and were one of their original partners. We are now part of a network of over 25 organisations nationwide that come together to share good practice and help deliver outstanding programmes to school children across the UK including Maths on the Move, PE Curriculum Support, Road to Tokyo Olympic Workshops and Playground Activator Training for Mid-day supervisors.
Balanceability – Balanceability is the UK’s only AfPE (Association for PE) approved learn to cycle programme for children in Early Years and Primary School. We deliver their scheme locally and have taught over 100 children to ride a bike!
Get Active – We have maintained close links with Get Active since we started. We now utilise their Academy scheme to support our yearly intake of apprentices.
Marathon Kids – Marathon Kids are on a mission to get young people active and out running! We deliver their services locally to schools.
Bucks County Council – To maintain the quality and delivery of our Ofsted Registered Holiday Camps we work closely with Bucks County Council.
