Four years ago we delivered our ‘Road to Rio’ Olympic Workshops to over 10,000 children across the country. Although the Olympic Games have been pushed back a year to 2021 it gives you even more time to plan a day that your children will never forget. We are back, bigger and better with Olympic & Paralympic themed days to get your children active, engaged and in the spirit of the Tokyo Olympics.
We bring all our Olympic themed equipment to your school allowing every child a chance to try:
They are delivered to schools all over the country, and we are the local provider for Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire & Berkshire.\
The workshops are tailored to EYFS, KS1 and KS2 pupils and include an emphasis on Olympic & Paralympiv values:
What better way to demonstrate these values to all the children inn your school than through this amazing sporting event.
“Pupils loved the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities. The rowing machines and wheelchairs expecially were a big hit with all pupils!”
“Children and staff really enjoyed the day. It was well prepared and resourced brilliantly. Everyone went home happy and smiling filled with the Olympic Spirit”
We’ve been delivering PE & Sports sessions within schools for over 10 years. That’s actually me in the picture to the right back in 2009!
Within that time we’ve developed and tweaked our service and offering to schools to ensure you can be confident in our delivery alongside a reliable service.
We’ve added many programmes over the years, working with numerous partners to support us which allows you to benefit from a range of activities from the one coach that works in your school.
We utilise AfPE accredited resources ensuring that all your short, medium and long term planning is taken care of and shared with you throughout each term and the school year.
80% of our coaches are employed with us full-time so we catch up with them daily, share ideas and pass on information. They treat their role as a career and take pride in their sessions. They’ll all most likely have worked in a school local to you along with the schools we already work with shown below.
We also have a qualified teacher & PE leader on our team who quality assures our coaches and carries out termly observations of their delivery, and at least once per year in each of our schools.
Still not sure?
Why not book in a free morning of PE? We can bring along 2-3 of our coaches to deliver a couple of lessons and activities for you to see for yourself.
We’ve been working within schools since 2010 and as such are aware of what kind of person and coach is the right fit for a school. We recruit full-time coaches who are mature, professional and aware of what’s important to a school and it’s parents.
We utilise 2-3 schemes of work and lesson plan resources so you can select the one that’s right for you. Already have your own scheme of work? No problem, just share the resources with us and we’ll prepare ourselves and our coaches to use it for your lessons.
We understand that as a coaching company we shouldn’t be ‘marking our own work’ in terms of the quality of our coaches and their competence. We do observe them, of course, but believe it’s important for our external assessor to check them over each term for your peace of mind and our coaches development.
Unfortunately illness is just one of those things that sometimes cannot be avoided. When it comes to PPA Cover & PE Lessons we want to remove issues rather than add to them so for these sessions we’ll ALWAYS ensure we have suitable cover available within our team.
“Club Sport have been delivering the PECS (PE Curriculum Support) Programme with us this year and it has been extremely beneficial in giving me the tools I needed to confidently plan and deliver successful PE lessons.”
“Club Sport have been delivering Maths on the Move for us to three target groups since the end of September. His sessions are engaging and the children in these groups are making good progress, the impact for some children has been huge!”
Did you know that while children in the UK spend 25% of their school day on the playground, many lunchtime supervisors are not equipped with the skills and experience to provide suitable lunchtime activities and deal with challenging behaviour?
What are you doing to help engage all of your pupils in physical activity during lunchtime and playtime?
This practical one-day course gives your lunchtime supervisors and support staff the skills and confidence to develop sustainable activities that help children be more active during lunchtimes, resulting in improved behaviour, lower playground incidents and an improved break time experience for both pupils and staff.

What is Maths on the Move?
You know the saying ‘it does what it says on the tin’? Well, that’s Maths on the Move. It’s doing maths whilst on the move.
Of course there’s a whole lot more to say about this innovative programme designed by teachers for teachers; but the concept is that simple.
What does Maths on the Move cover?
The programme covers all learning outcomes of the maths curriculum for KS1 & KS2
How can your school use Maths on the Move?
Enhanced academic achievement
Did you know that after 2 years of physically active learning, a child could be 4 months ahead in maths and spelling in comparison to seated learning?
There’s no shortage of research that supports the use of long-term physically active learning. A study looking into the effects of physical activity on academic achievement found the impact to be strongest in maths, yet all academic subjects were proven to benefit.
Improved attention
Physical activity has a significant impact on the focus of an individual. You may be thinking, surely getting pupils up and moving during a lesson is the opposite of keeping them on task? In fact, introducing movement into the classroom is a way of doing just that.
Research from East Carolina University found that pupils who undertook a one 10-minute energizer physical activity break daily for 12 weeks demonstrated a higher frequency of on-task behaviours.
it’s no secret that children tend to be bundles of energy, so it makes sense hat if this energy is suppressed behavioural problems can occur.
More opportunity to move
Childhood obesity; one of the most serious public health challenges of the 21st century as regarded by the world health organisation.
Its increased prevalence is alarming; date from the national child measurement programme shows one in five 10-11 year olds and one in ten reception aged children are classed as obese, the rates increase to a third and a fifth respectively if those children who are overweight are included.
“Club Sport have been delivering Maths on the Move for us to three target groups since the end of September. His sessions are engaging and the children in these groups are making good progress, the impact for some children has been huge!”
“The children have loved having Club Sport to deliver Maths on the Move this term. The children we selected have really benefitted and their results, especially confidence have improved massively. The active nature of the lessons has also given children previously disengaged with maths a new love for the subject!”
Marathon Kids is an exciting FREE programme, which gives primary school children the opportunity to run or walk multiple marathons over the school year.
It’s all about children working towards their own personal goals rather than it being a competition. Running a marathon is recognised by everyone as a massive achievement and Marathon Kids breaks this down in a way that makes it possible for everyone.
Marathon Kids have a better chance of achieving the recommended 30 minutes of daily physical activity in school time. It’s proven that children who have daily bursts of physical activity will perform better and show improvements in behaviour.
“Marathon Kids has definitely improved concentration, fitness levels and overall enthusiasm throughout the whole school. The children are also eating much more at dinner time because they are burning more energy and they are also concentrating much more in class because they are awake and switched on. Marathon Kids has been a positive investment for our school.”
Tom Bradshaw, PE Coordinator, Gisburn Road Community Primary School
Marathon Kids works for any kid, at any fitness level. Kids set their goals and track their progress on a journey to complete four marathons, or 104.8 miles, over the course of the running club season. They run, walk, (or skip!) one lap at a time, one day at a time, and before they know it they’ve gone farther than they ever dreamed.
They learn how to fuel their bodies so they can run faster, better, longer. And for a little extra motivation, they earn fun Nike rewards at milestones along the way. They have a network of dedicated adults showing them how it’s done, and most importantly, a motivated and inspiring coach supporting them every step of the way.
“I love running, and it’s given me and my family so much. As a dad, I know how important it is for my children to be active, and I’m honoured to have the chance to inspire kids to run with Marathon Kids.”
Marathon Kids has definitely improved concentration, fitness levels and overall enthusiasm throughout the whole school. It’s definitely been a positive investment for our school.”

Children learn to crawl before they walk and walk before they run so why expect a child to progress from riding a bike with stabilisers, to riding a bike without?
The opportunity to master key aspects of static and dynamic balance is essential.
Balanceability combines the unique ergonomic balance bikes with a schedule of fun activities that build confidence, spatial awareness and dynamic balance skills which enables young children to learn to cycle without ever needing stabilisers.
We have helped over 100 children across South Buckinghamshire learn to ride a bike over the last 12 months, often in just a few sessions! Our instructors have the insight, training and experience to support your child and pick out the key elements they need to work on to take them from being nervous on their bike to riding confidently within weeks.
Learning to cycle is a key life skill for children to pick up so let us help you get them started and then enjoy watching your child develop the confidence to ride unaided.
Still not sure? Check out all comments below from satisfied parents who we’ve helped….
“We can’t recommend balanceability enough to anyone who’s child is struggling with the confidence to ride a bike. Josh completed stage one on a balance bike and started stage two on a pedal bike with Davie in Great Missenden and on the first session he was riding a pedal bike on his own. We are so proud and Davie is very patient and a fab teacher. It is definitely worth a try!”
‘Helped my nearly 8 year old learn to ride his bike in 3 hours. Excellent. Would definitely recommend.”
“Davie is fantastic and had the kids engaged in balanceability lessons from the start, which led nicely into the 1-2-1 sessions I booked for my kids (6 and 4).
My 6 year old needed confidence and practise but she was away on her bike in 10 minutes!! My 4 year old quickly followed on and was riding within minutes with Davie! Highly recommend using Club Sport for both the balanceability lessons and 1-2-1 sessions.”
“Excellent 1-2-1 session for my 7 year old who’s previously really struggled to get to grips with riding a bike with no stabilisers. She’s now riding independently and really confidently, and wants to ride her bike everywhere! My 4 yr old did the balance bike sessions and had a great time and then took to riding a ‘big girl’s bike’ after 10 minutes with one of the coaches. Great fun and really patient and friendly coaches. Thank you!”
“Davie is superb! He took my 10 and 6 year old for 1-2-1 sessions in half term. My 10 year old daughter who up until now has been scared and reluctant to ride was happily riding on her own in half an hour. My 6 year old took 2 sessions but well worth it. Davie is fun, patient and really gets the most out of children. Highly recommend. Thank you”
“Brilliant 1-2-1 sessions helped my little girl ride her bike (finally!). Thank you. Would highly recommend.”
“I Booked a 1-2-1 learn to ride session today for my daughter 6yrs as she wasn’t able to ride without stabilisers and had lost confidence.
Within 10 minutes of the 1st session she was riding independently. This one 45min session has really boosted her confidence and she now wants to take her bike to the park. I’m so pleased. Thank you. I would highly recommend the 1-2-1 session.”
“Fantastic 1-2-1 session to help with bike riding! And achieved with lots of confidence and control! Would highly recommend!”
“Huge thanks to the amazing Davie Johns who got our 6 year old cycling after 2 years of pain/frustration/embarrassment etc. Literally took him an hour and a half over 2 lessons and he’s just got it! Davie has the patience of saint and my son really responded to him. We went out today and he cycled a 2 mile loop around our village – literally unbelievable only a week ago.
My younger son is now really looking forward to Davie coming back to teach him.
Can’t recommend him highly enough!”
“After struggling with transitioning to no stabilisers, Davie had my daughter riding independently in her first lesson! Patient, calm and encouraging throughout – Davie has given Lydia the confidence to ride on her own. She now looks forward to taking her bike down to the park… Thanks so much!”
“After just 20 minutes with Davey my daughter had stabilisers off and was riding independently around the playground! Couldn’t recommend him enough. Thank you!!!”
“After struggling with my 7 year old for 2 years we booked a 1-on-1 with Davie and Mia was cycling ????♀️ in 10 MINUTES?!”
“My 8 year old son has been struggling to learn to ride a bike for nearly 2 years. I got in touch with Club Sport Bucks after receiving an email. Davie was great at responding and we set up a 1:1 session thinking that we would have to book multiple sessions. In one 45 minute session my son was riding unaided around the playground.
I would highly recommend Club Sport Bucks and especially Davie. Thanks for your patience and skill. My son is over the moon that he achieved his goal.”
“My son Oscar who is 7yrs old has been struggling to ride his bike.
I arranged with Davie to coach Oscar for 1.5 hrs.
Amazing coaching and within half an hour Oscar was cycling. I am so impressed with club sports and davie is fantastic! Can’t thank you enough
A very proud mum Amanda”
